Our vision: Creative learning, personal achievement and happiness.
Our Curriculum Overview
We have created our own skills based curriculum for all subject areas that captivates our children's interests and utilises our beautiful locality. When appropriate, we encourage a cross curricular approach to promote meaningful learning and provide opportunities for our pupils to use and apply their knowlegde and skills in a variety of contexts to deepen their understanding.
A key focus is to prepare children for the next stages of their education and their future lives by developing the whole child to become confident, respectful individuals who have a positive attitude to life. We do this through continuously revisiting and planning with our vision in mind: creative learning, personal achievement and happiness, as well as our British Values and Christian Values for Life.
We have devised Long Term Curriculum Maps for each of the key phases in education:
These are rolling programmes which ensure that all of the National Curriculum 2014 is taught through the topics and themes described. To suport this we have written clear Schemes of Work for each phase of school to ensure that appropriate learning objectives are taught and that learning is progressive and challenging. The context and content of each topic is devloped with our children as their love of learning and their interests guide our learning journey.
We use Read, Write, Inc. to support the teaching of phonics and reading in school. For further information, please click here.

Children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
We pride ourselves on being an inclusive school that continues to successfully support pupils with a range of special education and disability needs, as well as reintegrated pupils into mainstream education from other establishments. We have a wealth of training and experience and a passion to live out our vision and mission statement.
