Our Nursery
Shankhill C of E Primary School NURSERY provides high quality care and education for children from 3 years old.
Children are welcome to start at our Nursery as soon as they turn 3 years old at a charge of just £3.50 per hour - the rate is very competitive to help support our local community. Once the term following their third birthday starts, pupils receive either 15 or 30 hours per week funded, with any additional hours again charged at £3.50 per hour.
We are open all day, every day for our main Nursery session 9am - 12pm for free 15 hours provision, with additional options of:
- Breakfast Club (8:00am - 8:45am) - earlier opening available on request
- Lunch Session (12:00pm - 1:00pm) - including a hot meal from your individual menu choices
- Afternoon Nursery Session (1:00pm - 3:30pm) - using 30 hours provision or topping up your 15 hours morning sessions.
- After-School Club (3:30pm - 5:30pm) - extension to 5:30 on request may be available.
Shankhill School Nursery is open to all children in our area following their 3rd birthday.
Our recently refurbished Early Years Classroom and outdoor area is led by an experienced and talented team of teachers and senior teaching assistants. We have an amazing ratio of 1:4 currently to ensure all cohorts are taught in age appropriate groups.
Our nursery children come to school Monday to Friday from 9-12pm, using their full 15 free hours. Some pupils attend for full days and school is flexible to accommodate a range of requests if made at least a week in advance.
All children can stay for the LUNCH CLUB until 1pm, costing only £2.50 for a school meal, prepared onsite by our school cook.
Our children love it so much they have asked their Mummies and Daddies, "Why can't we stay all day?". They are a welcome addition to our school and the rest of the children really make them feel safe, happy and a valued part of our school family.
We now offer full days which can be paid for using your 30 hours free childcare vouchers (from September 2017) or at a rate of £3.50 per hour.
