Required from September 2018 until the end of the Autumn Term, initially, to cover a long term absence.
The Head teacher and Governors wish to appoint a well organised, motivated and experienced cook to join our friendly, hard-working team. Previous experience as a cook in a school kitchen or other similar establishment is desirable.
The successful candidate will need to have excellent catering and interpersonal skills whilst being able to work efficiently and effectively to maintain our reputation for high quality school lunches and 5 star health and hygiene rating currently held by the school.
We would like to appoint someone who:
- Can provide delicious, healthy and nutritionally balanced meals following our menu and recipes;
- Will enjoy working with young children and families;
- Has knowledge of food safety and hygiene for catering standards - training can be given if necessary;
- Has experience of monitoring stock and supplies including basic record keeping;
- A desire to play a key role in the continuing development of our good school;
- Works well as part of a team, as well as being able to work independently running the school kitchen.
